Relationships and Sex Education
Since 2021, Relationships Education is statutory for all pupils, although parents & carers have the choice of withdrawing their child from the sex education element of these RSE units of learning. The sex education element of RSE covers how a baby starts from a sperm and an egg and basic information about human sexual reproduction. In the B&H RSE lessons, this is a small part of a lesson in Year 2, one lesson in Year 4 and one in Year 6. If you wish to discuss withdrawing your child we will, in the first instance, invite you in for a meeting to discuss your concerns.
Please refer to our PSHE policy for more details.
